Gökçin Aras Commemorated with Love, Respect and Longing on the 1st Anniversary of His Death

The late Gökçin Aras, the founder of ÜÇGE Group of Companies, one of the global brands of the store equipment and warehouse shelf systems sector, was commemorated with love, respect and longing at the ceremony held on the first anniversary of his death.

Gökçin Aras, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ÜÇGE Group of Companies, who passed away on August 17, 2022, was commemorated with love, respect and longing at the ceremony held at his grave in Bursa Fethiye Cemetery and at ÜÇGE companies. His family, ÜÇGE Board of Directors, managers, employees, friends and fans attended the ceremony.

Born in Ardahan Göle in 1954, Gökçin Aras settled in Bursa in 1967 with the appointment of his father, who was a teacher, and laid the foundations of his business life with the manufacture of shelves, which he started in a small workshop in Hürriyet. With its innovative vision, the first and first manufacturer in Turkey left its mark as an exemplary business person inspired by the business world by creating a Turkish brand that steers the sector and is trusted by world brands globally.
At the commemoration ceremony held at ÜÇGE's Bursa Işıktepe OSB factory at 10:00, ÜÇGE Chairman of the Board Damla Aras, Can Aras and ÜÇGE Group of Companies President Esra Güven made speeches.

ÜÇGE Chairman of the Board Damla Aras said, “We have gathered here today to commemorate our precious father and founder Gökçin Aras. It has been a year since he left us, but his traces, values and legacy still live in our hearts and in his works. Gökçin Aras was not just a business person, but a leader, mentor and visionary who encouraged us to reach higher goals in every situation. His perseverance, passion and determination have become one of the cornerstones of our success today. We still feel the pain of losing our beloved father. All the memories we have accumulated with him always continue to inspire us. In light of the solid foundations laid by Gökçin Aras, his vision and the values he left behind, we, as second generation representatives, who undertake the management of companies, will move forward with the aim of carrying ÜÇGE's vision of global leadership and creating value for the future further and keeping his legacy alive. One of the most important teachings our father taught us was building a family beyond business. Thank you all for being here today. In your presence, I once again commemorate him with love, longing and mercy.” said.

ÜÇGE Group of Companies President Esra Güven, in her speech, said, “We came together on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the departure of our esteemed elder and founder Gökçin Aras. We still feel the sadness of his early farewell most deeply within us. He was a leader whose ideas were highly valued with his visionary beyond his age, who always shared his knowledge and experience with his educational spirit, and was a guide to his surroundings. After the ceremony at the factory, the Qur'an was read and prayers were said at the commemoration ceremony where Gökçin Aras' family, ÜÇGE Board of Directors, employees, friends and fans gathered at his grave in Bursa Fethiye Cemetery. Carnations were left on the grave by family members and loved ones.
